By withdrawing their troops from Iraq in response to terrorist attacks, Spain and the Philippines have already shown that, tragically, terror tactics, including suicide attacks, car bombings and the beheading of innocent civilians, do work.
Hi Andrew, I did not like it much when a few members of our government said they understood the pressure Spain and the Philippines were under. Those two battles should have been clearly and publicly defined as major and significant wins for the terrorists.
The American public has a right to know that this is a war that can be lost. The outcome is far from certain, and unlike Vietnam, losing this one, will have devastating consequences for America. The North Vietnamese Army never had a vision of attacking, invading and conquering our homeland.
The Muslim militant extremists have succeeded in getting two of our allies, and two UN members to withdraw their forces from the battlefield. That is two big wins that should be credited to them. Unfortunately, the terrorists won both without suffering a single loss. unclewest |
