What Berger mess? Nothing has been proven except that someone on Bush's side leaked this months-old secret investigation right before the 9-11 report came out. Denny Hastert's claim that this was done to cover-up something is a big lie and he knows it. Any documents were just copies and already in the Commissions hands. The timing was the real crime here as people need to pay attention to what happened, not be distracted by Bushie dirty tricks. MSNBC's non-partisan investigation last night showed 12 major ways 9-11 could have been stopped. Most of those happened on Bush's watch. Sandy Berger by the way successful stopped the Millenium bomb plot against LAX because he was engaged vs. terrorism. Bush, Rice, Ashcroft and others weren't at all engaged vs. terrorism despite many warnings. David Gergen (about as non-partisan as they come) blasted critics of Berger and praised him as a man we should all be thanking for keeping us safer. gerger reiterated on CNN that any papers Berger did take were of no consequence to any investigation.
