The Berger affair is a big nothing. David Gergen on CNN praised Berger as someone who actually stopped terrorist attacks (unlike anyone in the White House) and made clear that nothing Berger may have taken in any way affected any investigation as they were just copies. Gergen implied that he too had done such things as most of us have. Taking a xerox copy of something rather than taking the trouble to write it all down. Berger broke a rule but did nothing harmful, except to himself. The real culprit here is whomever leaked this old story right before the 9-11 commission report which proves that the Bush Administration is responsible for being AWOL on terror in 2001.
