I stumbled across an interesting fact today.

Actually one I had seen before but paid no attention to.

And that fact is that CACI has something like 3400 employees.

This is a mammoth work force for a company that generates only 273 million worth of business.

What made me notice this was the press release regarding collaboration with CA.

CA has 10,000 employees and generates 4 billion dollars worth of business.
That standing next to CACI's figures stood out.

What this means is that each employee at CA averages 400,000 dollars of business.

While each employee at CACI averages around 80,000 dollars of business - 1/5 that of CA.

Or looked at another CACI's is 1/3 the size of CA in terms of employees but 1/15 in terms of business.

I think CA is exceptional.

But even so CACI's number of employees seems very high considering the income generated.

I wonder how this affects CACI's prospects as a take over candidate.

The amazing thing is that CACI manages to make money.

And until the last quarter with consistent improvement for quite some time.

Any thoughts on this?
