Socialists would have you believe that corporate profits are bad. But the reality is those profits are rolled right back into the businesses to build new facilities, expand production lines, hire more workers, develop new products etc. When Govt takes away those profits, they take away the means for business growth and investment, the business can't find investors to sell more shares to grow the business either so the products stagnate, sales fall, people get laid off, plant equipment doesn't get updated, and facilities fall apart. What does Govt do with the money? They don't spend it on providing consumer products to people. They don't spend it on building cars, refrigerators, microwaves, houses, clothing etc. Nowadays seems they don't even spend it on roads. Now 70% is simply sent off to people in the form of a check.
