Your perspective is correct. However Richnorth's claim that immigrants are willing to take low paying jobs is not correct. When an immigrants comes to this country, they are offered low wages compared to those offered to those who have lived here. By comparison to wages in their country of origin, the offered wages seems to be be quite high. And they take it.

Also. the professional immigrants especially in Silicon Valley are millionaires, drive good cars and live in large houses.

This is my perspective in addition to what you mentioned in your post. After all is said and done, I would like the US jobs to remain in the US. Let us not forget that besides the productivity of the US being extremely high, the quality of goods produced is also very high due to automation, well researched business processes etc.
