Combjelly, nice to see you drop by. Apparently I drove John Fowler away because I was rather frank with Alghieri. Or maybe he thinks I've got some sort of inner bloodlust or whatever.

Anyway, I never believed Iraq had any direct connections with 9/11, but neither did I think that mattered when we built up the case for war in Iraq. The worst thing about the war, of course, was that we never found the proof, and that pretty much discredits anything we say from now on, even if the world is indeed better off without Saddam, and even if we do win against the terrorists someday. And Bush and Cheney probably deserve a lot of the flak they're getting for this

But I think the reaction has gone way too far, especially from those who also believed the way Bush and Cheney did and even voted for the Iraq war, only to oppose it now.
