"one people" That is all the landowners- British, Dutch, German, Swiss, French, African et al and mechants will no longer obey the laws or commands of their respective lands amd politicians.
Which leaves a vast void to fill unless every person decides to live outside the law and slaves to just walk off the plantations.
And no rules to govern ownership of their own land or property. Winner take all.
Of course they want a government, and with that comes laws, with enforcement, and assignment of responsibilites.
Protection and a military to prevent foreign governments from just sailing ships here and destroying the revolutionaries.
"Subordination and obedience" comes with the new government, or else all is lost because laws would be meaningless and unenforceable.
