That was a perfect example of the point I made to Karen yesterday about how you can come away from the thread with distorted or mistaken facts.

Reading M's post offering an opinion on something unstated but implied could easily leave the impression on the careless reader that facts not in evidence, specifically that French spectators had mistreated Armstrong, were known to her and thus true.

How serendipitous to get such an obvious example so soon after making my point--an example of a point that's neither here nor there, really, merely interesting to me as are all thread dynamics. <ggg>
