I suppose it depends on what you mean by "understand" and "back-off" and what evidence you have for the premise of your question.

I realize by now that you avoid unpleasant questions, nevertheless you're right, definitions are in order.

In AMD's Q4'02 CC they showed they would be in production of 90nm Flash starting Q3'04.That's why I said "I understand" and what better "evidence" than AMD's own words?. Now we find they are only doing 110nm. That's a "step back" from their original promise to analysts. I'm just curious as to why AMD couldn't deliver 90nm Flash on time, that's all.
