Don't be to hasty in wishing flash away. AMD's flash has just now entered its earnings expansion phase as evidenced by the tripling in operating profit to $45M in q2. AMD has a good shot at $100M or better flash operating profit in q3 now that production economies are kicking in. Until INTC can become profitable with their flash, they really aren't a huge threat. Besides MirrorBit is growing a captive customer base! On the trading front today, I see Nas has given back all and more from yesterday while AMD, so far, has held on to some of yesterday's green. I suspect that AMD will outperform Nas perhaps significantly over the next 3 months as AMD64 climbs the maturity curve. It's been a real slow AMD day. A bottom feeders delight! Wouldn't mind seeing some serious volume materialize after 2:00 to carry AMD into the green again today! Probably too much to hope for today as all the traders do appear to have vacated for the weekend!
