Group Says New Israeli Expansion Breaks Vow

JERUSALEM, July 22 - Despite six months of talk in Israel about a withdrawal from much of the occupied territories, new houses and trailers continue to be erected at many Jewish settlements, and expansion into disputed land continues unabated, according to Peace Now, an advocacy group that also monitors settlement growth.

At a news conference, the group presented aerial photographs taken between February and early July that showed new trailers, buildings, roads and other infrastructure improvements on settlements in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
