I took profit on the short/put positions (started late June) but not ready to go long stocks.

NASDAQ down 8.8% and broke to new 2004 low - as I predicted in 7/1/2004 message. We are up 13-30% in different accounts (due to different risk-tolerant levels and leverage used). I have covered most short positions and all QQQ puts. We are sitting on cash again and waiting for the next opportunity.

I am not predicting a big bounce here and I am not ready to go long stocks. The chance for the market to continue go down is still relatively high but not high enough to hold the short positions. If the market bounce up and my short term model gives another sell signal, I may short and buy some puts again.
