Big companies often do well in recession though, at the expense of the smaller upstarts.

For the purposes of this discussion, the upstarts I am thinking of would be companies like maybe beas, qlgc, fdry etc.

One upstart company is doing well that I can think of - JNPR, everybody else is toast leaving us with only intc, orcl, msft and cisco it seems like
