Doug:
Your comments about the Spice Girls is prescient, I read in Investors
Business Daily(Fri or Thur issue) a short news blurp that Pepsi has
raised their share in France by 2 points and now have 10-12% of the market vs Coke's 80%. They specifically named the Spice Girls as a
positive influence on their market share improvement.

I am new to this thread and have not read all the earlier posts but
would like someone to corroborate a fact shared with me from an Edward
Jones broker. My 13 year job shadowed last week in his office and came home excited about adding PEP to his portfolio. The statement was basically that PEP will kick butt once they pass off a large portion of debt in the spin-off and retain the Frito Lay component which is growing at 30%+ a year..margins and stock price should respond in kind and kindly to the holder. Is this your take as well?

Thanks in advance,
Aaron
