What is the difference between suspended and delisted? I suspect the difference has mostly to do with Canadian attitude. Gandalf is essentially a mortally wounded duck headed nose-down into the swamp. NASDAQ takes a look at the thing and says "ack!" and delists it - refuses to deal with it anymore. One would presume that if Gandalf were to resurrect itself into a real, actual, functioning company, that met NASDAQ requirements, they could regain their listing.

The TSE, being Canadian and more gentle (*grin*), does not act with such nastiness. They just suspend the stock. Functionally, it is the same as delisting. Gandalf is not carried in the daily listings anymore. They have one year to revive themself and THEN they are delisted.

In reality, there is no difference and the winding down of the company continues. (I'm still trying to figure out what is the "service component" that they did not sell to Mitel. They outsourced their service to IBM years ago.)
