His whereabouts during his service as a pilot in the Texas Air National Guard in the United States during the Vietnam War have become an election-year issue. Bush's Democratic presidential challenger, John Kerry (news - web sites), is a decorated Vietnam War veteran. This is so amusing. Why does a guy who adamantly opposed sending any more troops to VN now try to discredit a guy who joined the National Guard and didn't get sent there due to circumstances beyond his control? I thought Kerry....and most liberals.....hated the idea of sending even one more man to fight in VN. Now they whine he didn't go. LOL
