week 7: blogging

A recent innovation that has drawn a great deal of attention is the popularization of websites that allow users to easily lay out an attractive and readable online journal. Blogs seem to blur genres of print communication in interesting ways, perhaps allowing for freer and more egalitarian communication online.

questions to consider:
-Are blogs more like personal diaries, less biased news sources, or public discourses?
-What do weblogs allow creators and receivers of content to do that other technologies have not?
