Tommaso; You are correct that cutting lumber into metric dimensions is not a challenge technologicly. I never said that. You are missing though the scope of the magnitude of the lumber produced in these megamills. The storage and production of the various lengths AND dimensions is a nightmare in itself - to suggest it is easy to just switch to metric just misses reality. They do produce metric here - in separate mills though. If you think they are producing lumber in America for export - show me some evidence!!! Steve
