Because I challenged your assessment of the Aladdin, this makes me a "rightie".
No, but because I can smell a rightie a mile a way. Sometimes, though, my nose can be wrong so I apologize for jumping to conclusions. Are you a rightie? "So frankly, I was not impressed with your evaluation nor did your evaluation undermine my original opinion of the hotel.
I didn't make an assessment, I simply stated that the place was brand new...pretty soon to be in the "dump" category.
No dude, that's not what you said......this is what you said:
"tejek...have you ever been in the Alladin? It's brand new. No doubt, the owners are way over their heads in financing, but the place is very nice. Somebody will buy them up...probably MGM or Harrah's."
That sure sounds like an assessment to me......a positive one at that.
do I get the sneaky suspicion that the place would be OK by you if Ronstadt hadn't been pitched.
No, dude, I happen to have an architectural background. Generally, in architectural terms, most Vegas architecture is bad. However there is 'cheap bad' and 'expensive bad'. 'Expensive bad' Vegas architecture is slightly better than 'cheap bad'. Aladdin falls in the latter category.
Hence, my assessment of the Aladdin had nothing to do with Ronstadt's eviction. For that, I condemn the rightie who perpetrated the act and who, now, is being made to look the fool. ;~)
You said the place was a "dump", I simply disagreed. It's a pretty nice place and I've been inside of it several times to gamble & dine...it's not a Bellagio or Venetian, but certainly as nice as a Treasure Island, Harrahs, Monte Carlo or the Paris. As far as the buffet, yes most Vegas spots have them...but the Aladdin's is frequently ranked as one of the better in Vegas. Check for yourself.
You are entitled to your opinion. As for the buffet, I don't go to Vegas to eat but rather to play blackjack.
Vegas dollars are trending towards more revenue from non-gambling venues...most of the better buffets are not cheap anymore, some are downright expensive. (including the Aladdin) Not all of them are good either...some are downright awful. (the few cheap ones left) Check on this also...Vegas has changed.
Like I said, I don't go to Vegas to eat so I don't much care what is happening with the food.
Your Vegas assessments are just as lacking as your political spin. You don't know jack shit about the Aladdin and your buffet knowledge is 15 years old.
Dude, I have forgotten more about Vegas than you currently know. So get over yourself and deal with it!
And my nose wasn't wrong.....you're a rightie! You know how I can tell.........your posts smell up the joint!
Have a good one! |
