Again you fall back onto idealism failing to see what has happened to America in the worlds eyes.

The world's eyes? Would these be the 33% of the French population who actually wanted Saddam to win?

Or those people who seem all too concerned about the Sudanese right now, but gave a sh*t less about the 300,000 Shiites who died under Saddam Husayn. Or the countless millions of others, both inside, and outside, who lived in fear of his oppression.

I can agree that the general lack of clear vision of how to handle a post-war Iraq has certainly weakened my opinion of how competent some of his advisors and leading generals were. But I believe Bush made the decision based upon sound values and principles, certainly with regard to holding the feet of the UN to the fire.

And only AFTER we occupied the country and tore through millions of pages of documents did we REALLY discover why certain members were so opposed to enforcing those UNSC resolutions and resolving the outstanding question of the actual status of Iraq's WMD programs.

But I can tell you one thing.. Kerry hasn't proven to me that he has what it takes to wage a war on terrorism, and its causalities. All he's shown me is his willingness to be a Europhile patsy and try to suck up to the very people who were actually profiting from subverting the sanctions.

You keep watching the Oil For Food (OFF) scandal.. It's proof positive of the contemptible stances of some of those folks you seem to imply represent the "world's eyes"..

Doing the right thing is often not popular. And it's usually never easy.. Especially when your taking money out of the pockets of politicians and political hacks who are corrupting the system..
