North Korea: nuclear weapons and long range missiles. A real and existing threat. A far higher defense priority than Iraq. They were building nukes and testing their missiles while we were invading Iraq. After delaying talks for two years, we got them to allow Japan to sit down at the same table as North Koreans. Meanwhile, who really has been able to get concessions out of whom? What must the US concede to get to first-base with North Korea? That is right -- massive aid and a non-aggression pact. Exactly what North Korea wants -- while they continue to develop, manufacture, test and deploy the very weapons that other would-be WMD countries can only dream of. Don't waste your time talking about how effective we have been at pushing around North Korea.
