They have made us targets precisely because of things such as MTV. They have made us targets because they know their own people would rather be watching Britney Spears than praying 5 times a day, and that realization scares them badly. History is against them, and they know it. I hope you aren’t suggesting that we embrace censorship and restrict the rights of gay people because Islamists are offended… talk about giving in to terrorists! You can have a free society or you can have one that embraces traditional moral codes. You can’t ever have both. Free people are going to have fun, whether you like it or not. This is why the Islamists – and, for that matter, all religious fundamentalists – are at root uncomfortable with freedom.
