"Party leaders appear hopeful of attracting centrists and independents by sidestepping a strong anti-war plank. That leaves liberal Democrats attending the convention in the position of having to bite their tongues over Iraq."

As one of the "rank and file" democrats who contributed more to democrat campaigns than ever before, I'm really disappointed by this. The iraq war is what got the party fired up to begin with (via Dean), and now they are ignoring it to pick up a few votes on the fringe.

They are playing a very dangerous game ... I think a lot of democrats (myself included) will consider voting for Nader as a protest against this.
