I see they're so "sure" of a Kerry victory on the
Kerry for President thread that some are
advocating the banning of all Bush supporters
between now and the election.

At the same time, there were concerns
expressed that the thread would become just
another backpatting thread....

My comments:

1. Fear of discussion from those
not enthralled with Kerry suggests a
lack of confidence in their candidate.
If that were not so, why restrict debate
to Kerry supporters? Sounds as boring
as Kerry himself.

2. It IS a "backpatting" thread. See #1
above, e.g. :-)

The ongoing shrillness of Kerry supporters suggests
to me an underlying paranoia and fear of
failure for their candidate. It does not bespeak
a lot of confidence.

I don't know which way the election will go.
I tend to think that there are a lot of people
who are not particularly tuned in. If they
don't vote the "party line", whatever that might
be, the question is whether Kerry will inspire them.

The answer to that question largely depends on
how well their "phony meters" are working........
It's hard to say. They are a lot of people
with less than sterling analytical skills.......
