How do we get their parents involved is the big question.


Unfortunately, the answer is that we can't. If the State is going to force the parents to send the kids to school, Then it is the State's job to educate them. One of the biggest copouts by the Educators is that, "it's the parent's fault!"

I know this sounds harsh, but we will never solve the problem until we face this.

We need to structure the school based on this fact. It the school can get better than average help from the parents, great! But don't count on it when planning the system.
