"You can repeat a lie as many times as you want and it's still a lie."

No matter how many times I tell it? That was an interesting article, and it does seem like a strange and lengthy series of events. My speculation of what was happening is certainly not framed as speculation, but it is no more dishonest than your speculation that "They (the secret service) weren't securing his route". Are you absolutlely sure? Because this passage indicates that the SS has not commented on the security measures, and was at least pondering some alterantives:

"The Secret Service says it won't comment on security measures that day until the 9/11 Commission completes its work. According to the staff report, the agency "told us they were anxious to move the president to a safe location, but did not think it was imperative for him to run out the door."

About 9:30 a.m. - still in the school and still on his original schedule - Bush stood before students, teachers and others and told them the nation had been the target of an "apparent terrorist attack."

"Unfortunately, I will be returning to Washington," he said.

Or would he? Secret Service agents and Card felt the situation in the capital was too unstable. "All witnesses agreed that the president wanted to return to Washington and only grudgingly agreed to go elsewhere," the commission staff report said."

But maybe you are right, and they were not securing his route. I am sure you are privy to the inner workings of the SS, and even though they will not commnent in general, they probably did put in a call to you stating that they wanted to hear the end of the book before they pondered any possible exit strategy for the President.

This clip indicates a point I have made before when haters like JF were ripping the President because of Moore's film that the school was probably a fairly safe place to be:

""(the SS) told us they were anxious to move the president to a safe location, but did not think it was imperative for him to run out the door.""

So even with the accusation that I am a liar, and the evidence that shows if I am, you are too, I say that attacking the President for the 1st reaction of the President on 9-11 is more of a reflection of the extreme hatred many have for our President than any evidence that he is a coward, an idiot or anything else that spews for the keyboards of the haters.

But thanks again for the link. Very interesting.
