Isn't he supposed to lead the correct course of action...

You obviously haven't a clue about organizations. The "correct" course of action was being taken long before Bush even heard the news. That is because any leader worth his salt, would have signed off on contingency plans which would automatically have come into play in the event of a disaster. This approach of the left against Bush is entirely dishonest, entirely full of lies.

Isn't he supposed to do something instead of sit there cowering???

He was supposed to do exactly what he did. At these times the only thing a leader must do is encourage the troops, keep them calm, sort through any confusion that arises. He is not supposed to be actively engaged in all the minute details of working a disaster. That is what the dang troops have been trained to do. It is their time to do what they live for. The leader works his tail off to make sure they have what they need to do their jobs. Bush did that and more. I don't really like Bush, but when considering the horror of 911, the guy did a stellar job of leading this country.

He didn't even go out to find a TV screen to see what was going on himself....he froze.....

No need to find a TV screen. He had undoubtedly been told all he needed to know. The issue before him, I am sure, was how best to salvage as much continuity as possible. It all began right there in that school room. Were my kids there, I would have wished him to have done exactly what he did. He was leading the country - and admirably.

What you wished him to do was create a flurry of fraudulent behaviors so that he might appear to be engaged. Leftists are such liars.

What did you do when you heard the news???? Turn off the radio or the TV... hold your ears closed?????

I certainly didn't go rush for a dang TV. After overcoming my sense of loss, I got up and began to try getting my people back home. I had a poor guy with me who was going through a panic attack. I thought it was a pain in the ass at the time. Now that I think about it, that guy probably got me through.

His escape route from an elementary school should not have been his first concern, the SS has that responsibility.....he first responsibility was to get himself informed and start coordinating action....

Sheesh, pal. When someone tells you that the WTC has been evaporated, you don't just watch friggin' TV like some friggin' twit. You have all you need to know to take action. The very next thing you should do is FREEZE - take 7 minutes to contemplate how you can best serve those in your charge.

We don't need a cowardly statue for a leader.....

I'm glad to see you'll be voting for Bush in November.
