the market never focussed on earnings Anindo. Never, it is all an expectations game. What were earnings in 98, not much. But there was optimism and revenue targets that were going through the roof, especially amazon's incredible 300 million dollar quarter. If we get a new company that blows out like that today on the REVENUE side, this would have to be a new company offering a paradigm shift... maybe a music downloader or web media type company, then we would have a frothy market again. There has to be the promise of a new type of business, not a whole new industry though.
