Just in case, someone misunderstands. The VIDYA formula from the OCT 95 issue and therefore the excel and T+ version is just one example of a 9 day MA. In his book, he used a 19 day VIDYA. As I have said I prefer a 89 day VIDYA. Point: unless you change the formulas for different periods, you are stuck with a formula that might work well with futures, when he showed it on stocks in TASC, he used weekly chart or a 45 day.

I have heard people say that they didn't like VIDYA, It really meant they didn't like the 9 day version he used on futures. I consider Chande, the best living TA guy out there.
