What were you taught in third grade that you did not know by the time you got out of high school?

By that logic, if one can call it that, a third grade teacher would need only a third grade education, only twelfth-graders need be taught by high school graduates, and only college seniors need be taught by college graduates. Do you really think teaching our kids - at any age - is on par with flipping burgers as far as skills required? Man, with that little respect for teachers and the job they do, I feel sorry for any that ever have your kids in their classes.

But that's JMO. Let's hear from others on this issue. Selectric - what say you?
