Musings C2--
Clinton was brilliant yesterday in his speech. He is sexier than the Belmont Club. If Kerry can get a small portion of the clinton charisma and communication skills, Bush will have a tough time winning this thing. Belmont may well be right but Clinton answers seem much less painful. SEEM is the operative word, much like folks in Britain chose Chamberlin over Churchill until it became crystal clear that Hitler was mad and not subject to a negotiated solution thru appeasement. If there are no terror terror attacks to wake the US citizenry up, Kerry will win this thing. As Brooks points out in todays NYTimes, Bush carries two terms worth of baggage in just one term so it will take a miracle for him to win. Potential miracles are:
1. Kerrys lack of communication skills
2. Teresa
3.
4. Clear victory in iraq
5. That Rusky think you guys alluded to.

So there is hope. I left #3 blank because i just cant write that a terror attack will be good for Bush. Dems have the same trouble perhaps in rooting for no V in iraq prior to the election. Just cant root for those things.
