The embryonic stem cell issue isn't a liberal vs. conservative issue, it's religious/moral/ethical.

I suppose these days people who believe that life begins at conception are more likely to vote Republican than Democrat, given the position of both parties on abortion.

Or maybe "liberal" means "pro-abortion"?
