Sonny-Re:Dell, CPQ.

My concern about Dell has been that their phenomonal success has been the result of marketing/channel advantage that, while brilliant, had no barrier from the competition. CPQ is attempting to exploit that(although through a somewhat different approach) and the results seem obvious. I don't think they will eat Dell's lunch, but they will take their fair share. I just read Sonki's post on this subject, and as much as I respect her research and advice, think that CPQ is more attractive short run as they are just starting up the curve that Dell has been on for some time.

Like you, I hope (and believe) that CPQ's problems are short term and transitional. Like I said, having more orders than you can handle is the the worst problem in the world. Especially if you act quickly to solve the problem!! Will probably buy some more.

Sonki is still big on SUNW too. Guess I need to think about adding there too. It was down 1.00 Fri.
