An American soldier says that Michael Moore's agitprop film "Fahrenheit 9/11" is making the rounds among soldiers at U.S. military bases overseas and is "shocking and crushing soldiers" and making them feel "ashamed" of their service in Iraq.

Soldiers aren't children. They too, maybe especially them, should be allowed to see all sides of an issue. Or would you rather we feed them only the cheerleading side and then let them find out the facts after we've gotten our pound of flesh from them.

Sometimes I wonder if some people know the difference between the 1st Amendment and the psychological operations people that staged the toppling of the Saddam Statue. Or do you think we'd all be better off with that piece of false propaganda planted firmly in our minds.

As for me, as a soldier with my life on the line and my finger on the trigger of a deadly weapon, I'd rather have all the fact to judge for myself. And I wouldn't use the "poor soldiers" ruse to try to try to silence those who strongly disagree with what seems to be a failed policy in Iraq. But then that's just me.
