The list of requirements for a moral society is pretty darn short.

That's your list, which is quite similar to mine. My basic ethical precept (I try to avoid the loaded word "moral") is simply that people should be allowed to do as they please, as long as they don't intrude on the rights of others.

If you asked Jerry Falwell or John Ashcroft for their list of requirements for a moral society - or, for that matter, Michael Moore, the PETA crowd, or any other collection of loony lefties - you'd get a very different list.

I take it, then, that you have no moral objection to letting gay people get married?
