I'm all in favor of smart investing and taking those saved tax dollars and giving them to a charity where the money isn't squandered by the supposed charity but rather is used in a 9:1 ratio to help those in need. The problem with the Federal Govt being the vehicle for charitible donations thru the Dept of Health and Human Services is the 9:1 ratio I'm looking for. After the Feds take their cut and then funnel the funds along, a lot less than 90% actually goes to those in need. There is nothing more crooked and immoral IMO than stealing charitible dollars from the needy.
