>> What do you do that makes you deal with Medicare/Medicaid?

My company designs, develops, and installs physican billing systems, and does training and support (which support consists primarily of assisting customers in learning how to get claims paid by various insurers).

No it's not. The preventive care is much better in foreign countries.

Nonsense. Most of our nation receives excellent preventative care. The most poor amongst us have coverage for extensive well-visit care -- for example, Medicaid will pay for monthly prenatal visits as well as EPSDT screenings and frequent well-child visits. Medicare Part B coverage pays for every physician visit for almost every American over the age of 65. Corporate health plans provide for extensive preventative coverage. My health plan pays for an annual physical for me each and every year.

I'm not sure what you're complaining about here.

I can't imagine why anyone would restrict the freedom of gay people. It's beyond me.

I can't either. I don't know of anyone attempting to do so.
