Do you really, really think they could ever control the US government, at least in a time frame meaningful to anyone now alive? That was the point to which you responded--control the US government.

First. The 15 million Muslim militant extremists do not share your time frame. They willingly welcome and embrace death if their own demise will make even a tiny contribution to the greater goal of killing all of us.

I will answer the rest of your question this way.
Is the dog wagging the tail or is the tail wagging the dog?
I believe it is too soon to tell. I do believe that the Muslim extremists have the entire US Government tied in knots right now.

I attempted to explain in that post that every aspect of our government is involved in terrorism now. Unfortunately most of the effort is defensive and will never win a battle.

I believe we are involved in what could easily become a massive and bloody war of survival. The proliferation of WMDs makes that an overnight possibility.

John Kerry, a man with a history of fleeing from battle, proposes to place our security in the hands of the UN and the uncooperative allies of Germany and France. Two of those three have yet to show any willingness to do anything but acquiesce to militant Muslim demands. Germany was helping in Afghanistan, but recently announced the withdrawal of their Special Forces.

I don't know about you, but Kerry's proposal scares me and I'm not afraid of anything.
