Yes, Slick Willie lied. But the lawsuit would never have been brought unless it was funded by people desperate to Nail Slick Willie. Cmon, you cannot pretend that all along the line, there was no choice but to carry on a sexual harrassment case (and a weak one to boot; if a Paula Jones came to you with the same story against some State Senator, would you have taken the case on contingency?) against a sitting President, no choice but to allow him to be deposed on his sex life, no discretion anywhere along the line. Cmon, common sense gives the answer to that - which is why the American people were divided between disgust at Clinton and disgust at his prosecutors.
