I don't think it's ok, but I don't think it's actually a basis for war, either. It's not even clear how hard he tried, and I'd hope uranium, in the 1000's of tons anyway, is fairly closely watched as it goes around the world.

Then there's the contrary example of Pakistan's long march to nukes, which everybody knew about, but that didn't prevent various presidents of both parties offering up their yearly certification that Pakistan wasn't doing any such thing.

People who like war differ on things like this, that's life.
