I think the Sandy Berger story just finally sunk to the level of attention it deserves. I have no idea what he was doing, but it has nothing to do with Kerry. The harshest accusation I've heard about him was that he was trying to hide papers that showed he'd canceled an attack (attacks?) on bin Ladin after the millenium plot was uncovered. But he was looking at copies of documents, and knew it, so this makes little sense. I think if there were any "there" there, he would have been charged by the FBI in ten months. The only thing that really makes sense is he is a careless, disorganized person - like he says.
