Where I spent my time anything that moved and wasn't one of ours was, in every instance, an enemy soldier with an AK47, and trying to kill me. My war in Vietnam was, therefor a little different from yours.

I was a Green Beret beginning before the Missile Crisis in 1962 and have been an active member of the Special Forces community for 42 and 1/2 years.

on the way back from hospitals and RxR, I sat down in enlisted men's bars in 69-70 Vietnam with dirty, dusty men who had the "look." I had it too. I was dirty and dusty like them and I was young and tough, and I'd killed people and seen my friends die, just like they had.
We must have much in common, I was there in 68,69 and 70. I spent 4 months in three military hospitals after being wounded in that period.
While you are it, tell us when and what bars and what R&R centers and what hospitals you were at and when in 68 and 69. I promise to list mine immediately after you list yours. And don't forget to give me your name and the units you served in and include a few phone numbers of the guys you served with. I will include the names and phone numbers of guys who were with me.
