Bearcat, that article was a new low even for you. What slander central did you get that crap from? I know Steve Bing. The guy doesn't have anything to do with mobsters or anyone else unsavory unless you think Hugh Hefner is. Steve is a bachelor, so how can you blame him for hanging with Hef?

If he paid someone's legal fees it's because he's just a very-very generous guy. He inherited 800 million and gives it to whomever or whatever means something to him. If I were a better friend of his or you were and we were in trouble he'd bail us out too.

Here's the real scoop. Bing is a huge Edwards supporter, which is why this BS SMEAR + SLANDER story came out from the rightwing dirty tricks brigade today.

Steve Bing is just a guy who gives tremendous amounts of money away and asks nothing in return. Unlike the polluters, energy gougers, drug company gougers, timber companies, defense contractors, wall street tycoons and HMO's Bush-Cheney get much of their money from. All those are special interests who get billions back (of our money) for their million dollar contributions.

To attack Bing as some "mob connected" is laughable. The guy doesn't have a corrupt bone in his body. It is also laughable when the GOP is considering replacing Cheney with Guliani, a guy who probably DOES have connections.
