Straw in the wind?
My 77 year old sister, a life-long yellow dog Democrat (who voted for Roosevelt, Truman, Stevenson, Kennedy, LBJ, McGovern, Humphrey, Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton, Gore) just called me. She told me that for the first time in her life she has had enough!
SHE IS GOING TO VOTE FOR BUSH!
Moreover, she is not going to even wait for Kerry's acceptance speech tonight. After watching Teresa,Al Sharpton, Edwards, Teddy Kennedy, Sonny boy Reagan, she has seen and heard all that she can stand.
Something is going on in this great big land of ours and it does not appear to favor self-proclaimed Vietnam War Hero who "earned" three purple hearts in four months of service while filming his exploits to be viewed in his long quest for the White House.
Maybe my 77 year old former yellow dog Democrat sister has caught the real wave of the future.
