actually our standing in the world has gone up not down, up because we are doing the dirty work of actively confronting the global threat of terrorism and the blackmail that would be inherent with its use.most countries are content to sit idly by while quietly behind the scenes applauding our efforts, do you actually think the Taliban was a good thing...? do you think Saddamm was not a ME threat to any and all not willing to pay his blackmail....? Do you think North Korea would be sitting on their hands re South Korea if not for American strong arm talk..... Do you think it was real smooth for the Serbs to ethnically clean out Kosovo, Hungary, Bosnia........was it ok fr Hussein to take over Kuwait....was it ok to let Adide use the UN food programs for his personal profits in Somalia....I could go on and on and on...... but I'm sure you get the point. you should take a closer look at what the USA really does on a global basis..... regards
