Well Neocon, let's see what preceded that "disagreement on matters related to the subject?"

Cobalt Blue posted TO me: "I don't hang out in bars talking to soldiers. I am just not the type of person to hang out in bars.

You seem to me to be rather coarse and unempathetic, so I would not be surprised if you hurt other people willy-nilly, if you thought you could get away with it.
"

That was in the context of "rapes and murders" during tours of duty. I could have said, as you suggest, "F--k off," but I chose to respond in another manner.

"You're like a small child that wanders into the beginning of a movie and ..." That's a line from the Cohen brother's movie "The Big Labowski," and it seems to fit.

RE: What would possess a normal adult to address a grown woman with such condescension, pretending to know what her "aptitude" was, and advising her to stop progress towards a degree, on the basis that they have disagreements on matters relating to the subject? A normal adult would have a sense of his egregious behavior, and expect to be told to f--k off, at least. Instead, you sigh over her calling you weird? It was weird, like watching someone drop his drawers in a restaurant......

So if you're going to referee a name calling, get it right on who called who what, and who called it first and loudest. Or better yet, don't get involved unless you have something new to say.
