What you say makes a lot of sense. The problem I see with it is "This may take many years to decades."

If the muslims do here what they are doing elsewhere, repeatedly murdering people at random, I don't think Americans will be willing to wait that long. Either they will completely capitulate to the muslims just to be rid of islamic savagery, or they will begin taking matters in their own hands.

I for one do not plan to sit around while some savage tries to blow my head off. Been there, done that - never again.
