It was Kerry's choice to focus on Vietnam rather than contemporary issues.

You can claw at it, but Vietnam is Kerry's strongest point. He looks good in it, and your "swift boat" and "winter soldier" accusations won't overturn it with joe sixpack. They were smart to run the convention the way they did.
