Last night I watched a TV show about conscientious objectors during WWII. One of the bits I particularly liked was an excerpt from a film clip which I assume was shown in movie theaters between films, asking people "have you killed your Jap today?" Intercut between footage of people working in factories was footage of dead Japanese soldiers lying on the ground, explaining that if you did your duty for the war effort every day, then you "killed your Jap." Funny, no?

As I recall it, the Japanese were evil, too, at least during WWII. No doubt about it.
